However, 50% of the entrants had jumped the start by about 30 min, arriving therefore at a corrected time of about 7.30pm-ish, well beating the sunset!   The other 50% blamed a mechanical for rolling in at 10pm-ish.  London was deserted with the World Cup fixture against Belgium , saving some time.
